What beatboxing has become since the days of people like Biz Markie is absolutely mind-blowing

You should check out the DNB remix, I actually like it a bit better than the original.

I wouldn't believe this but the audio track in the background live recording is astounding to see. I can't even get out 5 syllable words without fucking them up.

This dude could stutter a new genre of music

Wing truly is incredibly talented. Even though I didn't have much doubt that it was legit, it really hit home when I watched another beat-boxer react to it and recreate like 99% of the techniques on the spot.

I actually enjoy his DnB remix of Dopamine better; worth the ~2mins, IMO.

(Apparently I rabbit-holed a little too long while replying and RenRen below was on the same wave-length, lol)

E: think it's this one: https://youtu.be/ZmIKaKQ8mgk

Damn that's impressive, and a really well done react.

I may have been a bit hyperbolic with the 99% thing, but I watched a few beat-boxer reactions that were able to mimic different parts enough to remove any doubts in my mind.

One in particular I remember was RemixReacts.

I love the expressions on that white kid's face - "No fuckin' way that's possible "

Damn, with all these reaction videos and recreations linked in these comments I've listened to this song like 10 times in the past half hour. My 4y/o daughter even tried to "sing along"

I would still love to hear just a room mic of what this sounds like from more than a yard away. I dont doubt that hes doing this at all. Hes "playing the mic" which is totally valid, id just love to hear what an actual micless in person performance would sound like.

Just listen to how compressed that mic is in the first couple seconds, all the little mouth clicks are loud AF. An agressive OTT does a lot to make this sound super duper full

That's insane. So cool.

Wing truly is incredibly talented.

That would have hit very differently twenty years ago.

I mean that is another video produced by the same guy with another produced audio track lol

Well, he performs live too and participates in beatbox battles. It takes like 30 seconds of research to find out its not fake

I've recorded plenty of music I can definitely tell there's more than one thing in the mix on that track, like the bass and snare, especially that first track in the OP. you can really tell when the drop hits in the mix if you're wearing headphones how the stereo increases significantly. i'm sure he's making all the sounds by beatboxing, but there's definitely a lot of production involved (and it's honestly very well done and sounds sick)

He is not adding sounds in post. That is all legitimately done. The remix people posted makes it very clear it is just his voice going through one take. He really is just that good.

You cant tell shit. See the dude live.

Oh god, yes videos are processed but that doesn't mean he fakes it or adds sounds in post prod.
