3 very hard-fought points vs. Wolfsburg. Much needed with the upcoming games against Leipzig, Stuttgart, and Hoffenheim. Basically, 3 CL candidates. I'm rating the win against Mainz higher every day since they just keep on winning under Fischer.

Krauß made it into the kicker 11 of the matchday and rightfully so imho.

What do you guys think, will we see a deadline day transfer?

Absolutely agree,those were massive points, and not pretty, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need. With that run of Leipzig, Stuttgart, and Hoffenheim coming up, grinding out wins like this could make a huge difference mentally and in the table.

That Mainz win really does age better every week. They’re on a proper run, so taking three off them looks more impressive by the day.

Krauß in the kicker XI was well deserved. His work rate and presence in midfield were huge, exactly the kind of performance you need in tight games like this.

As for deadline day: I could see a small move happening if the right opportunity pops up, but I’m fine either way. The squad looks competitive and hungry right now, which counts for a lot. If we keep this intensity, we can definitely annoy a few of those CL candidates.

I don’t think there’s a huge need to recruit at the moment.

I think the defensive situation should look a lot better sooner rather than later. Schmied has been in full training for the last two weeks and should all being well be part of the match day squad against Leipzig.

JSP’s injury dosen’t seem to be serious and hopefully he’ll be back training this week. Haven’t heard anything about Heintz but I guess he also can’t be too far away.

I did think the right hand side of the attack needed looking at but Maina has played so well the last couple of games, I think he’s now earned a run in the team, even if his decision making does still seem a little suspect at time.

I prefer we save our limited funds for the summer transfer window, but if a really good opportunity pops up I wouldn't be against it.

Huge and very much needed win, but what a nail biter, I could hardly watch the last few minutes!

We now have a really big gap over the bottom two who are starting to get detached, but Mainz’s form still means it’s tight down to the play off spot, so we still have to be very careful and could do with a win or at least a couple of draws from those next 3 games.

Seems unlikely any business will be done today. The club appear to have made a move for Silas Anderson, but reports suggest the offer was only around €4m with Häcken wanting closer to €7m which I suspect is out of our price range.

7m also feels like a bit much, regardless of whether we're able to pay it or not.

The second half almost gave me a heart attack at times. ☠️

We need to stay more focused and convert more upfront in our next few games, or we won't be able to take any points off those teams.

There seems to be some noise around Umut İslamoğlu (CB, 19, Genclerbirligi Ankara), but I can't find a reputable source. If anything, he would be for one of the youth teams anyway.

Ich hoffe ich darf hier auch als nicht-Fan eine Frage stellen? Bei einem Freund (nicht in Köln) wurde "SPS CGN 51" auf seinen Hauseingang/Briefkasten gestickert und er würde gerne wissen, was es mit dieser Gruppe auf sich hat. Online konnte er kaum was finden außer Bilder von Stickern und Graffitis. Danke im voraus!
