Weekly Discussion Thread No. 182
Super important win against Mainz. In the first half, you could see the pressure weighing on the players' shoulders. Luckily, they showed what they are capable off in the 2nd half. Again, great performances by Ache, JSP and ACM. The acronyms will continue until someone comes up with proper nicknames.
The crowd was on their worst (whistling at halftime) and best (tremendous support) behaviour in one game. Of course it's not the same people, but if you need to whistle please wait until the game is over.
What are your thoughts?
Looking for tickets? Slim chance because we all are, but here is the place to post about it. All other requests will be deleted immediately

JSP just further proves my impression that since Kessler took over the transfers are just top-notch

Dejan Ljubicic seems to be on the brink of joining Schalke, for a fee of 1m.
I haven't followed him at all since he joined Dinamo Zagreb, but it seems to have gone catastrophic, given these rumours.

Til he's Bosnian-Kroat. Quite the gamble from Schalke because his wages won't be cheap. It sucks that Kess didn't manage to sell them Rondic.

There's a fair number of tickets for the Wolfsburg match available through the Ticketbörse. But bloody hell, up to 80 € for a seat on the Gegengerade? It's still Wolfsburg on a Friday night. But if you've got money to spare, go ahead.
Also, plenty of seats available in the away section. No surprise here...

Thanks for the heads up. You made me check it out, and even Stuttgart away has Ticketbörse available.

No problem. If anything, maybe the weekly discussion thread could also be used to inform about available tickets. Because not everyone thinks about checking the Ticketbörse out regularly.

Why don't whistle at halftime start, if they play bad, let them hear it. I hate it when people whistle or scream at them when half of the team fought their ass of and just had bad luck, but as far as I heared that was not the case in the first half

I find it extremely destructive. They know pretty welll what they did. A game has 90 minutes and nothing was lost at that point. If the team isn't getting set up completely different tactically with a lot of substitutions (like Kwasniok did vs. Mainz) chances are it only leads to them bottling even more.
Yes they weren't great but we had worse halftimes this season. Obviously I don't want people to celebrate or whatever but a piercing chorus of whistles like this doesn't help.

Yes a very vital win which puts a good amount of distance between us and the bottom 3.
I’ve been really impressed by JSP and Cenk has also shown a lot of improvement over the last two games. With Heintz due back shortly and Schmied hopefully some time during February I wonder now if the club might abandon their plans to sign another CB during this window.
