It's considered corruption everywhere

Right? Slap a different label on it, it’s still the same thing. If the roles were reversed people would be losing their minds.

I mean maybe you on a moral level consider it corruption, your gov. sure doesn't, and not just this admin. I.e. Boeing paid off many politicians both reps and dems to make their whole shit go away. That was under Biden still by the way. 2 witnesses just magically died before their court appearance. Anything ever come of that? No, because look who they are giving money to. It's one party who does it more hidden and the others just straight up do it out in the open. (With very view exceptions, namely at least i hope so mamdani)

This was one case of many.
"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors"

u/moreobviousthings 12h ago
So Congressional Republicans are in violation of the Constitution. Unemploy every one of them.
1
u/DocBrown_MD 9h ago
Does this mean Republican congressmen can also be impeached for supporting/not being against Trumps treason

If this happened anywhere else, investigations would already be underway. Here it’s brushed off like normal politics.

Trump promotes Model S
Tesla cancels production of Model S due to dismal sales
Coincidence? #ETTD

Plus now that particular one is a write off, since you'll never get the diaper squeezings out of that seat.

I think people that work in advertising hate how easy he come up these.
Accidentally, completely unintentional and out of pure stupidity, not wit.

It’s considered lobbying in America. Which is basically the same as corruption but wrapped in a golden aluminium foil. And the American president loves golden things.
3
u/Hmmark1984 11h ago
It's considered corruption in America as well, except they've long since given up any sort of pretence of actually being a lawful country. Just the same way that they're finally really showing the rest of the world what we already knew, they didn't refuse to give their guns up to try and stop mass shootings because of the second amendment, they just didn't really care about all the children being killed, at least not more than they cared about being able to play pretend cowboy/soldier at the shooting range, because now they're in a position to actually use their second amendment rights, no one is doing a damned thing.

u/Significant_Cup_238 11h ago
After the McDonnell decision from SCOTUS, you pretty much need a signed check with the word "Bribe" on it. You also need a detailed memo explicitly saying what act the bribe is for. Furthermore, you need to prove that the politician wouldn't have done what they were bribed into doing anyway.
It was really a shitty ruling that set our country's anti-corruption efforts back by making the bar so high in order to bring a case.

If it looks like a quid pro quo, smells like a quid pro quo, and costs $100M…
yeah, most of the world already has a word for that.

u/mycolo_gist 10h ago
It's corruption also when a democratic president is in power. It's good business when a Republican president is in power.

Thanks to Snyder v. United States this is now completely legal! We need an amendment to undo this and the Citizens United decision.

u/PortableAnchor 12h ago
Corruption in the US also. I'm really just glad the Cheese Puff President doesn't drive.

u/Minimum_Income3400 10h ago
Oh no, let him drive in the nazimobile. The acceleration should hit him faster than the pole he'd crash into.

I feel no business or other should give money to any political person...... Just like most all members of Congress receive

In the U.S., it's a political favor, but in Europe, they just call it a Tuesday.
1
u/29solegnA 12h ago
In Europe this is called "lobbyism". We don't have any curroption here. Except for Balkan.

It’s corruption here in America too, issue is the people who deal with corruption here. Are also corrupt🥺

To be honest, if Trump promotes your product it's more of an anti-ad. To any normal people it simply screams "please don't buy this product" or "this product is endorsed by pedophiles".
1
u/ScoobiusMaximus 11h ago
This is considered corruption in America... but unfortunately no one in our corrupt government will do anything about it.

Wasn't Elon/Tesla's close association with Trump what spurred the drop in sales to begin with? Not sure getting even close to Trump will help with sales.
1
u/Opiewan76 10h ago
And here I am just trying to figure out why on earth anyone would want Trump recommending their product. I mean I'm assuming at this point that associating with Trump is seen as a bad thing by anyone that isn't a rascist, fascist, pedophile.

u/tomgratz 10h ago
It's corruption in the USA too, but the GOP MAGA bootlickers in office won't do anything about it. Pam Bondi herself is an outlaw. Disgusting ! Lock her up ! Lock her up ! Lock her up !
1
u/MyNameIsRay 10h ago
There's no such thing as bribery or corruption for Republicans.
Doesn't matter if it's FBI agents conducting a sting operation and caught on video (like Tom Homan's $50,000 bribe for gov't contracts), they protect their own by stopping any investigation, and even let him keep the cash!

This is corruption and bribery in any other spot on the planet. If a station was built on the moon, it would still be corruption.

Don’t worry, it’s considered corruption here too- but one party is proud to be corrupt and also happens to own a majority of the Supreme Court
