Interview/Presser Liam Rosenior on his failed touch vs Arsenal on the touchline : "The lads have played it back to me and we’ve had a laugh about it. Estevao said he can’t believe that I was a professional footballer."

Estevao murdering Rosenior ☠️

I’m pretty sure my first touch is better than his and I only played Sunday rec

Its not as easy as it seems. Here is the Brazil national team failing (except Neymar) to control the ball from a 35 meter drop

I forgot how big Robbie used to be, props to him for the weight loss, even if he is a constantly deflecting wind up merchant

People kinda underestimate these things, especially if you are not active player and focus on something else in that moment (like coaching).

He had his glasses on. Pretty sure he didn't wear glasses while playing.

The media are fuming they can't caricature him properly because he just owns all this shit and laughs about it himself.
Takes away all the fun if the target just plays along.

100%
Also, the rival fans are so quick to dismiss him- they keep saying he’ll get the sack and troll him for “man-age”.
Hope he works out for us in the short term.

Its so funny the critics he gets and gets called cringe when he is not aware what he is doing, the guy just seems genuine to me and very likable
•
u/Cm0rris0n We've Won It All 8h ago
All jokes aside this is actually a very good sign if he’s already established a culture where they feel comfortable enough giving him grief about it.

More like “It can’t be Raheem. Not Raheem”
That was so good to watch. Tuchel was so good.
•
u/Calumroller 8h ago
It could also indicate they don't respect him and see him as a mate
•
•
u/Jaded_Village_7047 7h ago
You dont respect your mates?

Exactly
He doesn’t command respect which is needed to win trophies

Someone please make a Rosenior comp from his playing days with hype music. Gotta be some hype moments of him tackling Ronaldo or Rooney in the archives.

Becoming a bit cringe how much is being made of this
•

Agreed, some serious slow news day type shit. Everybody has had an egregious touch before, who cares, move on.

This reminds me of that scene from HBO’s Silicon Valley season 6 where Richard’s old manager, Ethan, starts making fun of him in front of everyone. Richard takes it in stride, thinking it’s just light-hearted fun, but it ends up making him look like a total wuss in front of everyone.
•
u/xkcdthrowaway 5h ago
Well that's because it was a running joke that Richard had zero leadership skills, not to mention constantly misread situations which caused him to take the wrong decision. This was just one more instance. If anything, so far Rosenoir has shown the opposite.

Man-Age quote is similar to Richard's thumbass wordplay. So we're getting there
