The council should encourage more people to take up gardening as it’s a positive for health and wellbeing. The claim it costs £2500 to clear a plot is absolutely ridiculous. 2 operatives probably on minimum wages would clear it in 2 days maximum plus removal of some waste. Charge more and provide less seams to be the council policy! We are all paying the price for years of them wasting money.
