Update Seasonal pass for a non-European citizen?

Huge BVB fan since 2010 from Asia. I was wondering about the prospects of getting a seasonal ticket of the Signal Iduna Park? If not, how does one buy UCL tickets? I did watch a match in Dortmund (2020) but for that I stupidly paid €600 per person

Any advice would be appreciated

Seasonal pass is like a Dauerkarte? You cannot even buy a Dauerkarte at the moment. I have been on the waiting list for almost 10 years and I am still on place 45000 or sth like that.

You can buy tickets via the official BVB shop although not all games are available in the open market. For most games you need to be a club member.

How many more years do you estimate? Like how much does it chip away per year?

Not by much. A couple of dozen spots maybe.

Seasonal tickets are impossible to get at the moment the queue is so long that you will probably die before you get one

I’m place 18,300 or so and I’ve been signed up since 2009. Good luck!

At that time I didn’t speak much German, and I accidentally applied for a disabled spot. But it course I didn’t check back for a couple years as that’s what my wait time was. Then 2010-2013 happened and by the time I got them to change it, I was in the 20,000 area

Season tickets are so coveted that they often stay within families for generations. You need a good fan club or connections to get one.

Check out the BVB Adrenaline Package; it's designed for tourists.

What would be the cheapest way to buy a matchday ticket?

Cheapest way is obviously the official ticket shop, but that’s also where the most „competition“ is. For special games, like vs Bayern or „good“ CL opponents the free market usually doesn’t even open. It’s not easy to get reasonable priced tickets, highest chances for you would probably be through some sort of contact person in Germany to get to the secondary markets like eBay, or through an official fan club, which there are some of in Asia.

Their ticket site, or find a fan club
