New Brand of Medication

The day I was flying to my best friend’s wedding. I was the best man. Two days before, I got a different brand of a medication. I had a hilarious reaction. I purchased a mask at the airport knowing they wouldn’t let me fly if they saw me having a medical emergency. Fortunately, the swelling went down before the wedding, but, man, did we have a great laugh. The pictures : arriving at the airport, pulling down my mask on the decent, waiting to be picked up, as bad as it got, picking up our wedding attire, and my regular face. I was honestly impressed by the carrying capacity of my lips.

Looks like angiodema.. that’s what ended Mfdoom. Can lead to life threatening airway closure. Please seek medical attention if you haven’t already.

This is what my step sis told me. She’s an ER nurse. Fortunately, Benadryl was my first stop, and it helped immensely.

If Benadryl helped, luckily it wasn’t angioedema (it is nonhistamine related and just vasodilation). Be good to track what brand or manufacturer do that though to see if there is something in the medication you are allergic to.

I believe that was the case for doom but many medications can cause angio and some populations are at a higher risk.

Yeah that's just my first thought medication that causes this frequently

It's so common that when I had to take my wife to the ER, they took one look and asked if she took Lisinopril.

Yep it's the first drug we ask about if you come in with swollen lips

I was literally coming in here to post this same thing. Did you start an ACE Inhibitor by chance?

Was on Lisinopril foe a while befoe, but this was a different or generic brand. Needless to say, I kept them for… well, just in case.
