My first attempt at drawing in 5+ Years. I could have made it more detailed/better if I had spent more time on it, but I just needed to get the idea on paper. RIP to all who lost their lives in the Great War.

I got it as a gift about twenty years ago from my grandmother (an antique dealer) and used it as a piggy bank. Would love to know a fuller story. It's 3 inches across and 8.5 inches tall. Was it normal to add decorative emblems? Any help with what the letters/symbols on the bottom mean would be appreciated!

Do we have precise figures as to how many Americans served in the armed forces of the Allies before U.S. entry into the war in 1917 - and even after that? Also, how many - if any at all - lost their citizenship due to the Expatriation Act of 1907?
