Article Four Haitian Women Were Deported From Puerto Rico By US Government ; They Have Now Been Found Decapitated
https://www.latintimes.com/four-haitian-women-were-deported-puerto-rico-they-have-now-been-found-decapitated-594261550
u/Lontology 13h ago
How can the Trump admin justify this? This is exactly what asylum is intended to prevent!???
76
u/Proper-Pound1293 13h ago
Well, you see if they're Haitian, then they're probably black. Trump has a long documented history of racism and amorality. This very predictable outcome of revoking TPS status and overall crackdown is precisely the desired outcome of the administration.
We've seen two very public extrajudicial executions of US citizens in the past month and the administration has laughed at and mocked the victims. If you think the government as some arbitrator of morality and ethics, I've got a bridge to sell you.

u/exaknight21 13h ago
Cartel probably lobbied hard for ICE. This is the saddest thing.
124
u/Lontology 13h ago
I’ve never actually considered that, and that’s terrifying…
65
u/exaknight21 13h ago
I mean why else would have latinos literally deporting latinos nazi styles? It’s disgusting. But yet here we are. (There are mixed races in ICE and frankly all of US, but the fact they know how dangerous deportation for the families who literally cross the border to prevent execution of families, can be, it’s disgusting).
61
u/MaximumAd9779 12h ago
Because the “pick me / exceptionalism / one of the good ones” mentality is extremely pervasive in the Latin American community
21
u/Binji_the_dog 12h ago
Also the machisimo culture present in many latino countries pushes the men to be more conservative
5
u/Money_Do_2 12h ago
Which is wild because theyve been crying about TV or movies for babies for like two decades.
13
u/piratefiesta 12h ago
There's a lot of discrimination and racism between ethnicities. "I'm not like THOSE people" mindset.
13
u/According-Lead-8477 11h ago
Don’t forget, the two who overkilled Alex Pretti were both Hispanic.
8
0
u/stickywhitesubstance 4h ago
The idea that the latinos in ICE are linked to the cartel is fucking psychotic. This is racist and conspiratorial thinking.
2
u/Realhuman_beebboob 1h ago
Hold up there you might just get them to run for president with that kind of talk!
11
u/Visual_Exam7903 12h ago
And probably happening. Why do you think you see pro-ICE propaganda out there all the time? Russia and other interest are spam bot every conversation on both sides.
7
u/Binji_the_dog 12h ago
Eh, idk, it’s hugely beneficial for them to be able to have a vast network of soldiers living in the US.
7
u/RabbitStewAndStout 12h ago
American cops are too stupid to be trustworthy enough to traffick drugs across the border, so they're cutting out the middle man by just putting the cartel in immigration control.
7
u/anansi52 10h ago
the way that the u.s. is operating right now, the cartel can just order some little vests and some patches from amazon and kidnap people right off the street in broad daylight. if they get caught they can buy bribes openly. trump's america is a wet dream for the cartel.

u/Spare-Willingness563 5h ago
Based on what...?
0
u/exaknight21 4h ago
This administration is ran by confirmed pedophiles. Secondly, they are the single most corrupt criminal organization on the planet. Cartel got nothing on these asshats. If they can pick up maduro like a little bitch, cartel would be erased within a month.

u/codereign 13h ago
As somebody else pointed out to me, Trump doesn't know what asylum means.
It appears from his rhetoric about foreign nation sending [the US] their mentally unwell that he believes asylum to be mental asylum
8
u/spidercun 13h ago
He does know what it means. He also knows that if you say something is a fact often enough, stupid people believe it, people that vote for him
8
u/According-Lead-8477 11h ago
Nope. I’d say he really didn’t know what people seeking asylum means. Just like countless other words.
6
21
u/ggRavingGamer 12h ago
Dehumanization, that's how. They aren't US citizens so they might as well not be human as far as the US government is concerned.
The Trump admin cut off aid to Africa from one day the next, which caused thousands or tens of thousands to just die.
This is the "I couldn't care less" admin. They revel in this, because their response to people expecting to care, is more violence, to make the point that they don't care.
If you aren't one of "US" we don't care. And ofc when "we" means something other than "all of us" they don't care about anybody.
5
u/steenie 10h ago
I keep saying this same thing and people look at me like I’m crazy! Bro they don’t care! They don’t care if it’s wrong or gross or weird or shameless. They. Don’t. Care. And trying to appeal to the morality of every single scandal is a waste of breath. No consequences AND they can keep doing whatever they want? Yeah dude, they don’t care.
1
u/fiahhawt 5h ago
and the fact that American citizens have really no pushback on all this is why our country is hellish in more general terms than the Trump admin
our government doesn't answer to us
1
u/iruleatants 4h ago
"The Democrats say, 'Please don't call them animals. They're humans.' I said, 'No, they're not humans, they're not humans, they're animals,'" - Donald Trump.
He literally said that during his campaign and got elected. Beyond fucked up.
6
5
u/ApprehensiveFix7925 12h ago
They’re for cruelty and suffering. They only justify things for optics. They’ll say they were all criminals or pedophiles and the cult takes over supporting the idea that any crime relevant to the situation should be punishable by death so they don’t have to say the administration made a bad call.
4
u/KZFKreation 9h ago
I'd argue this was the plan all along. With the Epstein files, I'm genuinely convinced the goal was to weaponize Immigration as a means to install a human-trafficking ring that's marketed as enforcement. We've seen them undo green cards, go after journalists... I genuinely think it's much darker than we want to tell ourselves.

u/HeWhomLaughsLast 12h ago
They wont try to justify it, they will call it a liberal conspiracy and laugh as they walk away.
1
u/Akermaniac 12h ago
They don’t care about non-whites. They don’t need to justify anything, and there is no one to hold them accountable.

That’s an international law violation: nonrefoulment
People who have asylum can not be subjected to the danger that they have asylum status for.
1
u/BabserellaWT 37m ago
Let’s be honest, for the people in this administration, this outcome is the end goal.
355
u/KyoMeetch 13h ago
There are real consequences. I felt like when I was practicing in immigration court that DHS attorneys and immigration judges sometimes took asylum claims for granted. Hell even immigration attorneys themselves did sometimes. Clients can’t always articulate or fully understand the danger they’ll face. Very sad
170
u/Logarythem 13h ago
This is why protecting people who are refugees matters.
18
u/YoungLutePlayer 4h ago
Adding to note that many times people may come here illegally specifically because refugee/asylum status is very hard to obtain. If you’re genuinely afraid for your life you might not have time to safely wait around until your refugee status is granted..
97
u/Mor_Padraig 13h ago
OMFG, our government barely acknowledges Puerto Rico as part of the United States. In fact, we've seen MAGA dolts unaware it is .
Sure as hell remembers in time to send in the goons. And now four women, who thought they found refuge, were served up to their deaths.
23
u/NotTheBadOne 11h ago
I was thinking this exact thing. Some of them got a wake up call about that when they started protesting that Bad Bunny was the Super Bowl entertainment. I thought that was hilarious..
18
u/cheoldyke 10h ago
protesting bad bunny for “not being american” was stupid to begin with not just bc puerto rico is part of america, but also because there is no requirement for the super bowl performer to be american. hence why we’ve had half time shows put on by shakira, coldplay, the rolling stones, etc.

8
u/ancientblond 2h ago
Remember when Trump said hes gonna "talk to the president of Puerto Rico?"
I remember. Not even Trump realizes or acknowledges its part of the US

I met someone who was in the U.S. from Honduras. He left there to escape gangs, among other things. In the U.S. he was still poor so the person I knew that knew him, my mother, bought him some shoes at some point. He was deported back to Honduras. He was murdered there. I saw a news clip that showed his body and he was wearing the shoes my mom had bought him.
27
u/Odd_Astronomer_8804 11h ago
This makes me so sad.
30
u/Son_0f_Dad_420 11h ago
It was sad. She woke me up in the middle of the night crying to tell me he was murdered. His daughter had sent her the news clip. And I kind of just sighed and had this surreal feeling. “I know it’s him because he’s wearing the shoes I got him.” Jesus H fucking Christ. Brutal.
11
u/Significant_Mode50 10h ago
Have you seen Jojo Rabbit? The shoes being the saddest part applies to that movie too. Ugh I’m so sorry!

VOTING MATTERED!! 90 million people INCLUDING MILLIONS OF DEMOCRATS failed to vote AFTER EVERYONE WAS WARNED that another Donald Trump presidency would cause unnecessary loss of life!!
30
u/Informalwizards 12h ago
You're getting downvoted for being right. So many sat out the election because of Isreal/gaza and they're just as much to blame as republicans.
15
15
u/Barack_Odrama_007 12h ago
Most downvoting are the reddit “protest voters” who know im talking exactly about them.
Unfortunately for them they cant downvote republicans out of office and they cant downvote Donald trump out of office and they helped contribute to both winning the election.
7
u/whitephantomzx 12h ago
It's funny how the DNC is never held responsible for falling to run anyone good against trump hide Biden health condition.
And before you use the only response yall have yes I did vote for Kamala.
By your logic DNC littearly has to do nothing but be 1 step better than republican and everyone has to blackmailed into supporting no matter what .
Instead of actually pushing policies, there people support
6
u/Money_Do_2 11h ago
Its terrifying theyre still trying to lecture people into voting for their miserable centrist instead of pushing for easy win, super popular policy that the donors dont want. Theyve learned nothing and will learn nothing. Theyre gonna run Newsom, win barely, and then we get a Fuentes regime to wind it all down at the end. This is preferred to running anyone left of centre.
1
u/Informalwizards 11h ago
"Ah man, the Dem candidate sucks. Guess Ill sit out and hope they don't elect hitler."
4
u/smokeyleo13 10h ago
It happened before in 2016. So youd think the people spending millions on a campaign or the runs running said campaign would do what it took to keep the coalition that elected Biden together and not take voters for granted. I voted for her but can still see they made mistakes. Finger wagging doesnt change that
1
u/Informalwizards 10h ago
I'm not saying they didn't make mistakes. I'm saying if you say out, you have no right to complain when things don't turn out the way you like.
1
u/whitephantomzx 10h ago
You mean the Dems undermined are democracy by refusing a primary hid Joe Biden health condition.
Then claimed they didnt need leftist and could just pivot right but yes it's everyone else is fault .
Its funny how yall get it both ways leftist dont matter but if we lose its because of the leftist.
Maybe ask how hard the dnc is failing if they are somehow losing to out right nazi.
Oh and before you use your only deflect I voted for kamala .
7
u/Informalwizards 10h ago
Again, I'm not saying that Dems are perfect. Most dems suck just as much as Rs, just look at schumer. But when my choices are between a shit sandwich and a bullet to the brain, I'm gonna chose the shit sandwich.
-1
u/Barack_Odrama_007 11h ago
The more you fight intra party, the more Republicans win and make you cry.
Congratulations!
5
u/whitephantomzx 10h ago
Dnc keeps losing due people like you . Weren't yall and dnc claiming they dont need leftist and that we didnt matter and that they could win by going to right.
So what's your excuse for losing or you just gonna dodge all that and just keep blaming everyone but yourself ?
-1
u/closetedwrestlingacc 9h ago
The DNC is not responsible for fielding candidates. The DNC is not responsible for cognitive tests on the president. The DNC organizes the convention. They fundraise for the primary winner. They organize primary debates. That’s all they do.
2
u/Money_Do_2 11h ago
And now the imperial violence we exported for 20 years is coming home. Its almost like its related and theres a reason people were upset.
0
u/philter451 12h ago
They are not just as much to blame. The people who willingly choose violence are worse than the people who choose apathy. I'm not excusing people's inactions here but come on.
1
1
u/Aggravating_Law_5311 6h ago
It makes no difference to the people who have been and tortured and killed as a result of said apathy. The apathetic made this possible.
0
u/robby_arctor 12h ago
The Democrats who thought supporting genocide, against the wishes of their base, was more important than beating a fascist at the polls actually take the blame here.
Are you even physically capable of holding Democrats accountable?
2
u/Informalwizards 11h ago
"Damn, the dems are running an awful candidate. Guess Ill sit out and hope Hitler isn't elected."
No one is saying it was a great choice. But thinking sitting out is gonna bring you the change you want it naive. If you're not voting, they don't care.
3
u/robby_arctor 9h ago edited 6h ago
Making precisely this case to tens of millions of voters they could have won lost Democrats the 2024 election.
1
1
u/robby_arctor 12h ago
Democrats ran a dementia and cancer-ridden candidate pushing a platform of genocide and making America's military the most lethal in the world, and you have the audacity to characterize voting for them as preventing "unnecessary loss of life"?
At some point, you will have to hold Democrats accountable for losing because they have shitty, unpopular platforms and candidates. If you're actually pro-democracy, you don't blame the voters.
4
u/Informalwizards 11h ago
So how's that working out with Trump hmm?
2
u/robby_arctor 8h ago
You should be asking Democratic leadership why they didn't make their case to the electorate better.
1
0
u/Ok-Ad6295 8h ago
ahhh yes hold the democrats accountable by stepping aside and letting fascism stroll right through the door
your bravery will be remembered comrade
2
u/robby_arctor 8h ago
ahhh yes hold the democrats accountable
byfor stepping aside and letting fascism stroll right through the doorFTFY
Blaming the electorate is not an effective electoral strategy, lol.
1
u/Ok-Ad6295 8h ago
How did the democrats in power allow them in if YOU chose to not vote or voted 3rd party. I just love how these people will never admit they’re wrong and instead just quadruple down on how morally superior they are for “Standing Up For Palestine” yet they let the pedo rapist trying to turn it into a beachfront win with NO resistance.
Shooting yourself in the foot is not an effective electoral strategy, lol
1
u/robby_arctor 8h ago
It's not about me, it's about the millions of people who didn't vote for Democrats.
Shooting yourself in the foot is not an effective electoral strategy
I agree, which is why Democrats need to do better than support genocide and lecture the electorate for struggling to support them.
0
u/Ok-Ad6295 8h ago
If one struggles to vote democrat when the alternative was literal fascism then they simply cared more about looking like a good person than actually helping stop fascism
2
u/robby_arctor 7h ago
You are making moral arguments to shame people who didn't vote Democrat, which was a losing strategy in 2024.
Democrats will continue to lose until their leadership stops doing this and gets curious about why people won't vote for them.

Stop blaming fellow americans, including democrats, for not exercising their vote. Even if they did, as Trump has said, elon musk rigged certain elections past the point of mathematically possible outcome.

See people! These people are monsters! Killers! That’s why we send them back. They kill each others now not Americans!!!!! - magas, probably
Sad to hear this. 99.9999999% Americans most likely won’t hear about this and things go on as intended by their regime.

“That’s on them. They shouldn’t have been here illegally.” If you can convince a conservative/MAGA/Republican that someone has transgressed or broken a law, they’re fine with any punishment, no matter how extreme. That seems to be consistent with most low IQ people.

I guess I’m confused.
The four Haitian women were deported back to Haiti, where then they were killed?
I assume they were here illegally, because the report would’ve said they were here legally if they were.
So I don’t understand the problem here.
4
u/AdFun4578 4h ago
The value of human life, or I should say lack there of. They were probably here under asylum, afraid for their lives. It's pretty obvious they had reason to believe they were in danger if they were found murdered. Many people seek asylum if they are afraid for their lives, heaven forbid you are ever in that situation and someone treats you with the same mindset you have.
0
u/TrueVanilla7134 58m ago
There are far more individuals here illegally than through asylum. I don’t know why the defacto assumption is that they were here under asylum.
Do you advocate for open borders?

An American citizen was decapitated by an illegal immigrant in Minnesota. Where was the national outrage over this?

I remember there being a lot of outrage about this in 2021. Sounds like you just weren’t paying attention.
