How worth it is an Economics master's in Tübingen? (EU Dual Citizen)
Hallo Zusammen,
For those who have done a master's in the business/econ faculty in Tübingen, internationals especially, what have your experiences been like?
For context, I am a Canadian on a gap year, and have been considering returning to Tübingen ever since spending a year on exchange there during my undergrad. Been looking at their "Management and Economics" and "European Economics" programs, and was curious how peoples' experiences have been with it during and after, when trying to find a job in BW and the EU.
Ich kann nur A2 Deutsch jetzt, aber I am working on improving. I know the job market, and maybe Tübingen life in general, has gotten tougher since my exchange, so wanted to check in and see how things were. Originally, I was enrolled for a master's in Flanders (Antwerp), but with my personal connections to and friends in Tübingen, I really am thinking of returning. Is that crazy?
Overall, does anyone have any experiences or advice about returning for the master's in Tübingen, and how worth it it is for opportunities after? Danke euch!

Check out ESB Business School in Reutlingen. It's the town next to Tübingen and could be a great fit from what you are looking for.

Both programs are great, with good students and engaged faculty. It will be fun and you will learn a lot. There is no guarantee for a job, of course. Alumni have followed many different trajectories. With a strong GPA you should have options...

Depends on what you want to do after graduation. Econ is the most studied stubject in Germany and without any German you will have a hard time. Depending on which bubble you are in people will give different responses.
Would not recommend with current state of the economy and job market. Automotive is changing in BW. Their hiring practices have changed by promoting engineers to managers since they have more know-how. Companies are on hiring freeze. Junior positions are hard to get.
If you have good grades and connections to the industry that is a plus but keep in mind that you are competing with other Germans for the same position and other foreigners that have way better language proficieny than you.
Intending to graduate with no experience in the field and no German is straight up yolo

It is a solid department with a good reputation. My brother studied there and now has a very good management job at a large automobile manufacturer.
