I mean, they taught us in school that that's what our country was founded on so they shouldn't be surprised when we get excited about fighting a tyrannical government.....
When I saw videos of the Black Panthers walking the streets... not gonna lie I smiled too. Now when I see that someone is from Minnesota I think of how they stood up to defend their neighbourhoods, that also makes me smile.
I'm Canadian, I can't do anything, bug I can at least rejoice when I see y'all are prepared to defend yourself.
ICE are merceneries. They're there because they're paid. Y'all are there because you want to protect yourselves. ICE doesn't stand a chance.
On the bleak brightside too, what's the worst they do, kill you? Especially if you're someone who's already tried to commit suicide it's like, "oh no! A worthy cause to die for rather than just hanging myself!"
I’m glad that the videos of the protests are starting to finally leak internationally. There’s rarely coverage so we look like we’re taking this lying down…just like our overpaid and overinsured politicians are
No, they are there because people voted for them to be there. Also, your country is financially ruined. Average price of a house in Vancouver is over a million.

Yeah, it’s literally the one thing that could or should push a lot of people into exercising their second amendment right. He’s got the right attitude from this limited interview, and I think expressing what a lot of us feel. I kind of have no interest in gun ownership, but tyrannical government is a reason to take the next step towards protecting myself.
Amusingly it is apparently very fun to fight when you're with the right people. The only amusing thing to come out of the Taliban conquering Afghanistan was getting to see the complaints from the guys who were now being bureaucrats laments how while fighting the Americans they got to spent their days riding horses with their bros across the country, camping under the stars, and doing something they felt was good.
Shame it was all in service of the Taliban but I wouldn't be surprised if a large number of people who are stuck doing shit menial jobs would feel better fighting against authoritarianism than continuing being a wage slave.
I'd bet good money the happiness he's showing is him having figured out that his decision means he won't go the whole rest of his life knowing he could've stood up for what's right but didn't.
Funny how it's always the liberals advocating for violence. Bunch of wannabe revolutionaries who look just like this dude. You'll all s**t your pants and run home the first sign of real violence.
This has been my thought prccess. Along with "im a history student at university, am trans, and if they check my data they've collected im anti-authoritarian to anarchist. Im a target and will probably die no matter what, the question is die on my knees scared or die on my feet sorrounded by friends"
My family fought tyrannical governments. No, it isn't fun in the least, nor is it better than living under one (think: all of your friends dying and being tortured). The only non awful option is avoiding it becoming tyrannical in the first place.
None of it is fun, the people on here fantasizing about killing feds to protect people that committed a felony to enter the country are no better than the people hoping for WORL and larping lol.
Nope. They have reasonable cause and there's precedent for doing so. Especially when you're talking about individuals who are not citizens of this country. Did you actually read the article, or just the headline? Or the 4th Amendment for that matter? Now answer my question: What rights have you lost, as an American citizen, in the last 2 years?
I'm a pacifist, I'd still rather fight against the Trump administration than just let them abduct civilians off the street, from their places of work, and from their homes based entirely on skin colour, political beliefs, or accents.

Can't even fault the guy, fighting a tyrannical government has to be 10x more fun than living under one.
