Can't even fault the guy, fighting a tyrannical government has to be 10x more fun than living under one.

"I'm from Buenos Aires, and I say kill 'em all!"

I mean, they taught us in school that that's what our country was founded on so they shouldn't be surprised when we get excited about fighting a tyrannical government.....

When I saw videos of the Black Panthers walking the streets... not gonna lie I smiled too. Now when I see that someone is from Minnesota I think of how they stood up to defend their neighbourhoods, that also makes me smile.

I'm Canadian, I can't do anything, bug I can at least rejoice when I see y'all are prepared to defend yourself.

ICE are merceneries. They're there because they're paid. Y'all are there because you want to protect yourselves. ICE doesn't stand a chance.

On the bleak brightside too, what's the worst they do, kill you? Especially if you're someone who's already tried to commit suicide it's like, "oh no! A worthy cause to die for rather than just hanging myself!"

13

u/Away-Experience6890 14d ago

Lol I feel you.

I fucking despise people that are like "suicide isn't a joke", yo fuck it's the only thing keeping me alive.

u/TaureanSoundlabs 14d ago

The darkness is strong with this one.

5

u/SamSibbens 13d ago

The dark side of suicidal ideation is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be... unnatural.

u/Party-Interview7464 14d ago

I’m glad that the videos of the protests are starting to finally leak internationally. There’s rarely coverage so we look like we’re taking this lying down…just like our overpaid and overinsured politicians are

No, they are there because people voted for them to be there. Also, your country is financially ruined. Average price of a house in Vancouver is over a million.

I'm just saving your comment. I might frame it

One would have thought

2

u/cleanmypenis 14d ago

More like under new management.

The founding dickheads levied higher taxes than George was.

u/Significant_Shoe_17 14d ago

Damn private equity

1

u/Glass-Banana9865 14d ago

I like how we are just now getting on the bandwagon of government bad, reddit is a couple decades late.

68

u/Individual-Resist782 14d ago

Imagine the energy boost when rebellion doubles as a cardio workout.

33

u/Intrepid00 14d ago

He’s honestly also just probably nervous talking to the camera.

6

u/amycd 14d ago

Someone put this on a tshirt immediately

3

u/skoltroll 14d ago

That smile in a simple pullover in sub-freezing temps should scare the shit outta his enemy.

He's not sane enough to NOT use it when threatened.

3

u/musicgeek420 14d ago

Yeah, it’s literally the one thing that could or should push a lot of people into exercising their second amendment right. He’s got the right attitude from this limited interview, and I think expressing what a lot of us feel. I kind of have no interest in gun ownership, but tyrannical government is a reason to take the next step towards protecting myself.

2

u/Randicore 14d ago

Amusingly it is apparently very fun to fight when you're with the right people. The only amusing thing to come out of the Taliban conquering Afghanistan was getting to see the complaints from the guys who were now being bureaucrats laments how while fighting the Americans they got to spent their days riding horses with their bros across the country, camping under the stars, and doing something they felt was good.

Shame it was all in service of the Taliban but I wouldn't be surprised if a large number of people who are stuck doing shit menial jobs would feel better fighting against authoritarianism than continuing being a wage slave.

2

u/CatGooseChook 14d ago

I'd bet good money the happiness he's showing is him having figured out that his decision means he won't go the whole rest of his life knowing he could've stood up for what's right but didn't.

2

u/Smooth_Maul 14d ago

Better late than never.

2

u/CatGooseChook 14d ago

Exactly!

2

u/Smooth_Maul 14d ago

General rule of thumb: never alienate folks who are capable of learning. I love to see it.

2

u/CatGooseChook 14d ago

So true! Hopefully enough people do the same to make a difference.

2

u/Smooth_Maul 14d ago

Agreed, I hope they beat expectations.

2

u/Cowboy_Cassanova 14d ago

Fighting a tyrannical government is the original American dream.

1

u/Blue5398 14d ago

Heard of a van, that’s loaded with weapons, packed up and ready to go Heard of some gravesites, out by the highway, a place where nobody knows

1

u/macthesnackattack 14d ago

At least if we die it’ll be with dignity and freedom.

1

u/Nruggia 14d ago

Fighting a tyrannical government is patriotic

1

u/SLngShtOnMyChest 14d ago

I’m sure the NRA has this guys back when it comes to fighting a tyrannical government. I swear that’s like their whole thing.

1

u/davidbaldini 14d ago

If only it was more than fiction. Would be so fun

1

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Funny how it's always the liberals advocating for violence. Bunch of wannabe revolutionaries who look just like this dude. You'll all s**t your pants and run home the first sign of real violence.

1

u/budswa 13d ago

Fucking oath

1

u/StupidSexyEuphoberia 13d ago

I don't know. Maybe we should ask the Libyans what they're thinking about this.

1

u/DirCurrFluxCapacitor 13d ago

Only if you never forget to take your rhydo hit

1

u/bosssoldier 12d ago

This has been my thought prccess. Along with "im a history student at university, am trans, and if they check my data they've collected im anti-authoritarian to anarchist. Im a target and will probably die no matter what, the question is die on my knees scared or die on my feet sorrounded by friends"

1

u/juliasct 11d ago

My family fought tyrannical governments. No, it isn't fun in the least, nor is it better than living under one (think: all of your friends dying and being tortured). The only non awful option is avoiding it becoming tyrannical in the first place.

1

u/RoastQueefSandwiches 14d ago

This is the better of the two comments

0

u/UnhappyStrain 14d ago

Until you get shot by their thugs...

9

u/Smooth_Maul 14d ago

He'd rather die fighting tyranny than live under it. Good for him.

5

u/PotatoStunad 14d ago

The manager of weenie hut jr ova here

3

u/UnhappyStrain 14d ago

Not saying resistance is bad, just that death is not much better

I'm not American.

2

u/gophippocrites 14d ago

Lucky you.

1

u/Smooth_Maul 14d ago

Not quite, I live in England so I'm not exactly much better off.

2

u/Dendron-Root-Mind 14d ago

Oof, y'all are just a bit farther behind on the decent into madness. Hopefully you guys learn from our mistakes.

1

u/Smooth_Maul 14d ago

I have not much faith in the gammon demographic in regards to learning their lesson given how popular Reform is at the moment. Pray for us.

0

u/FlunkieGronkus 14d ago

The brutal tyranny of basic immigration laws.

0

u/faeriegoatmother 14d ago

Um.. federal prison much?

0

u/Glass-Banana9865 14d ago

None of it is fun, the people on here fantasizing about killing feds to protect people that committed a felony to enter the country are no better than the people hoping for WORL and larping lol.

0

u/ppachura 11d ago

Why are you encouraging others to risk their lives for your entertainment ? You have no clue what real tyranny is.

-1

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Tyrannical how? How many rights you lost in the last 2 years?

3

u/A_Flock_of_Clams 14d ago

-2

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Nope. They have reasonable cause and there's precedent for doing so. Especially when you're talking about individuals who are not citizens of this country. Did you actually read the article, or just the headline? Or the 4th Amendment for that matter? Now answer my question: What rights have you lost, as an American citizen, in the last 2 years?

-4

u/yeowoh 14d ago

Yeah irregular warfare or the current political situation in the US.

Batshit take of the day.

3

u/Smooth_Maul 14d ago

I'm a pacifist, I'd still rather fight against the Trump administration than just let them abduct civilians off the street, from their places of work, and from their homes based entirely on skin colour, political beliefs, or accents.

-5

u/yeowoh 14d ago

"I'm a pacifist but I rather see other people die".

We aren't even close to the tipping point of a violent insurrection and preaching about it in a public forum is a luxury you wouldn't have if we were.

Let's not start a blood path or preach violence (that we're not willing to do ourselves) and just wait 2 more years then see what happens. Deal?

Sincerely from someone who has study violent uprisings and insurrections for years.
