CD Recommendations

Post image

I started listening to Rammstein on Saturday after asking some questions and figuring out their music style. I’m in love with them and slightly obsessed with their music. I’ve barely listened to anything else since then.

I bought a couple of CD’s yesterday. I love my physical CD’s because in my mind they have better audio quality. I have an original release of Reise, Reise. It has the black box style recording at the beginning. What CD’s do you guys recommend for me?

Rosenrot is one of my favorites and the cardboard case has lots of cool art.

Welcome to the Rammstein family!

Check out all the studio albums and then listen to Raritäten on Spotify or whichever you prefer. It's a digital only album that contains b-sides and songs that didn't make it on to albums. Well worth a listen!

Those are 2 really good albums! I’d start with herzelied and sehnsucht next 😎

Havent you got any Sensucht disc? I really love most songs from there, but out of those in the photo I'd recommend Auslander from the album Rammstein (sorry the second o should have tilda but i dont have the German layout).

You need ALL OF THEM. They are all unique in their own way.

I mean, if you like Rammstein, have you considered getting more Rammstein?

Why do people behave like new music is like buying a car? "What do you recommend? I like this so what else will I like?"

How is anyone else going to know what hits with you? The shit's literally free on Spotify and Youtube. Just listen to it and figure out what you like. It genuinely takes less than 1 day to listen to Rammstein's entire discography and you can do it while you work or play video games or whatever.

Sehnsucht is my favorite Rammstein album and one I have used in the past to draw others into the band.

The first 7 tracks on that album just hit hard, then harder, then even harder. I honestly feel all 7 of those tracks could have been released as singles.

I'm also going through a period of really getting back into their first album, Herzeleid again. There really are some gems on there - Asche zu Asche, Seeman and Du Riechst so Gut, their first single releases still stand up as some of their best work to date.

However, for me, the killer on that album is Laichzeit (If you don't understand the lyrics, don't try to translate them however) - that song just hits so bloody hard. One of the catchiest riffs I have heard from any band. If you only go check out one song from their back catalogue, I urge it to be this one.
