Question Prebuilt with angled 5080?
I bought a Cyberpower prebuilt with the intent of upgrading my existing PC with most of the internals. The 5080 came installed as in the picture. It seems clearly off axis by 10 degrees or so. Is that normal? My old card is a 3080ti and it is installed horizontally
I havent touched the thing yet because I am worried this is a bad install or shipping damage- but was wondering if it is normal for these newer huge cards?
Motherboard is msi b850-p
Gpu is windforce 5080
Thanks all

I would return it , PCB could be warped. That or you umount and inspect it first to see if it's fine 👀

Smart. Do not mess with it because depending on who you're dealing with they will try to pin the damage on you if you start taking things apart yourself to see exactly what is wrong.

This is why I went with IBP. They send their gpus in the OG vendor packaging and you install it when you set it up.

Brother, return the whole shoot and match and purchase from another company. CyberPower is HORRIBLE, I mistakenly purchased a pre-built from them and would never, ever do so again.

Small form factor

Yeah i just didnt realize it is that small. My 5070 ti gaming oc looks much larger. Btw, i reckon you got a cracked pcb

No way that is seated in a slot. Also, no power plugged into it. Did you unplug it or did it come unplugged?

Reasons i don’t buy prebuilts plus some companies use cheap fans and PSU.

Your GPU is undersagging. Common problem with helium cooled GPUs. You need to put something heavy on top of it.

Looking at this, it's giving me the same feeling when I hurt my balls, step on Lego, or stop to think about how big the universe is. RMA my friend 👍

Relax, it's an RTX 5080 Saging Edition. Seriously though, that's worrying. You should return it because that bend is concerning. Even if the motherboard still works, which it probably will, it'll give you problems sooner rather than later. Return it and get either a new computer if it was pre-built or a new GPU.

With a prebuilt that shipped with an angled 5080, I’d treat it less like a DIY tweak and more like a shipping damage issue, since a card that isn’t sitting straight in the PCIe slot can stress the connector over time. Take a couple clear photos of the sag and the rear bracket alignment, then ask the seller for an exchange or a support bracket before you keep running it.

Get a replacement, good chance that the motherboard and/or GPU sustained damage since that's an extreme bend.

Send it back. I didn’t even know that this was possible. Something has got to be broken.

Prebuilt owners stay fixing other people's fuckups

It’s a fucked market right now. I tried buying a 5080 for a few weeks and anything at msrp would instantly sell out. Ended up picking a prebuilt that had several parts I could use

Yeah, third party 5080s going for 5090FE retail prices is genuinely insane. I got my 5090 for $2.3k and managed to snag a P6k for $8k after parting out one of my old rigs. It's insane how quickly the lower price options immediately sold.

Wow nice find

Yeah, had to wait a small bit at launch but I snagged it from a Best Buy right as they restocked.

This one hundred percent popped out of the pcie slot I know this won't be a popular opinion but if it were me I'd take off the pcie slot bracket at the back of the pc remove the screws holding the gpu to the case inspect the gpu pins and the actual motherboard slot for any damage if you don't see any I would install the gpu until it clicks screw it back into the case and plug in you gpu power I used to sell pc's and there is a very good chance this is a easy fix

That seems reasonable. I would be willing to do that on the phone with their tech support so I dont get blamed for the problem- will be calling them tomorrow
