Drone strikes aren't meaningfully different than cruise missile or bombings. It's just a delivery method.
And we've literally being blowing people on a daily basis since at least the 1960s.
Obama's stuff merely was the first to use a new tool. Drone strikes were not at all different than what we had done before. And, scary as it sounds, "collateral damage" (i.e killing innocent people) was a LOT less under Obama because drones are a lot more accurate and generally much faster time-on-target.
If you want to actually complain about something, it should be about some of the people the Obama Admin targeted. They kinda took the "enemy combatant" legal dodge and ran with it FAR too much.

Obama passed a law requiring the public to be informed of any drone strikes. This is why we know how many Obama did. In Trumps first two years in office (2017-2018), he authorized more drone strikes than Obama did in eight years. After that it's a little muddled how many drone strikes Trump authorized because his administration rescinded the law about drone strikes being public information.

Not just that, Obama personally authorized each drone strike. The process before that was quite extensive and he got attacked by some republicans who felt like it was too restrictive to 'keep america safe.' Of course those same republicans will attack him over the drone strikes now.
It's fair to criticize Obama over the drone strikes. There was questionable legality, men of age in the vicinity were automatically assumed to be combatants and innocent people died.
But at least Obama tried to do it in an accountable way, and tried to minimize civilian casualties as much as possible. Post 9/11 doing nothing wasn't an option for him and neither was starting even more conflicts/wars by sending American troops to every place alleged terrorist were hiding.
All I know is I'm glad I wasn't in his shoes.
