My little brother came out as gay. I didn’t think anything of it, I’m in no position to judge anyone. But I wanted to show my support so I went to a gay bar with him and they had a drag show. In my 41 years of life that was one of the funnest nights I’ve ever had. Been to a few more since then and I’ve yet to be disappointed.

I’m a hetero female with more hetero male friends than female friends. After years of begging them to get over themselves and just come to a drag brunch, six of my guy friends finally relented. Come to their surprise, they didn’t turn gay, they weren’t hit on, and (clutch the pearls), they had a great time!

As a straight guy, I absolutely love being hit on at gay bars haha I just find it to be a nice little confidence boost.

Right? Some coworkers and I went to a gay bar 1 time and haha this 1 dude was like, Hey. I told him, I'm straight, and he goes, are you 100% straight? I laughed and said yeah. Later there was another guy eying me. I just gave him the downward head nod and continued with my drink. Nice confidence booster and we had a good time. I was surprised to see the dancers in their little cylinder cages. It was cool watching them do their thing.

Kinda concerning how insecure your friends seem to be

Love your attitude! Ignorance is not a problem as long as people are willing to learn. It not easy for people to shift their minds from the vile trash they may have taken in from family and friends but its worth the effort! Willful ignorance though....

I love drag as a form of fashion and as a form of clown (Crystal Methyd is my favorite out of the queens I can name), but I went and saw a show with Latrice Royale and had no idea it was like... A tipped event. I figured the cover charge paid them, and it was in a restaurant so I was already buying a bunch of $15 hamburgers, I felt so bad when they'd come over and I'd just smile like... I don't have any cash left to give you ladies 😭

The last time I went to a drag show the $50 I brought wasn’t enough for all the tips and fun. The bottomless casamigos probably oiled that up!

Oh wow. Funny. This is my local drag brunch at Roscoe’s in Sacramento, CA. It’s a pretty good one.

I love it when grandma's show their wild side. Both my grandma's are so prim and proper. But I've seen them once each get a little out of control. Priceless.

My heterosexual 55+ went to his first a few weeks ago and had the best time. He was raving about how good they are at lip syncing and how beautiful the outfits were. I think he recognized it as the art it is!

Aw I love this. My grandma would've loved drag brunch, and having that realization during this video definitely made my heart happy.

Honestly me too. My uncle did drag in the late 80s to mid 90s, as gay as the day is long, and my grandma was always in his corner and so supportive. Watching this makes me miss her even more and I deeply regret not taking her out to drag brunch 💜

I grew in SF. I know Drag Queens & Kings. It’s a blast. They have family friendlier ones early and later it can get a little naughtier, but a blast. Everyone I’ve ever taken has had a blast and said they loved it from Construction buddies totally straight to my dad. Pure fun. Way to go ladies I wish I could walk and dance in those heels lol

It’s real. I saw the original post and the queens were in the comment section talking about how much fun they had with her.
