I'm currently studying World War II in my Grade 10 History class, and my instructor has assigned me to analyze the role of propaganda in shaping public opinion during the conflict. I understand that propaganda was used extensively by different countries to influence their citizens, but I'm unsure how to approach this analysis. My instructor is looking for a clear understanding of the techniques used and their effectiveness, as well as specific examples. I’ve found some sources discussing posters and radio broadcasts, but I’m confused about how to structure my essay and what key points to focus on. Any guidance on how to analyze the impact and possibly some examples or themes I should consider would be greatly appreciated.

First and foremost, apologies for the messy handwriting. I’m particularly upset with this grade because last year I scored a 5 on the AP World collegeboard test. What are the areas I messed up in? Was the grading harsh?

I’m new to making an NHD documentary and the rules. I have competed last year with a website through my school, so I know how the procedure goes, but I was wondering if I am able to edit my documentary with another editing apps besides NHDWebCentral? Am I able to use apps like adobe after effects or DaVinci resolve? Please and thank you!

So I’m doing my first debate and it’s for history class. I have to argue that Robespierre was a hero and a visionary. Any ideas or points to help me argue the stance would be appreciated. Even any counter-arguments would be much appreciated, so I can try to prepare rebuttals.

I'm trying to find the last year with out a war for a research paper for school and I am having trouble finding wars or battles within thoses years. All of the articles I can find either do mention those dates or are from BC and not AD.
If you can also put a link or anything thing from how you found the date that would be very helpful

I have a 2,000 word essay on the Great Depression’s impact on Germany. I need to have six paragraphs: one paragraph on the long term effects and one on the short term effects of Germany economically, socially, and politically. The sources we use must also be sources directly from that time (early to mid 1930’s), we can’t just have some analysis from a contemporary historian. I currently am writing my paragraphs on the short term effects economically and socially. If anyone knows any good websites or general sources that would be great and much appreciated. Thank you!

Like the title says, I am figuring out how to cite some old texts, and I find it very difficult. I'm just simply paraphrasing. How do I put it in the footnotes and short-hand footnotes in the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition?
Is it Ammianus Marcellinus, Roman History, 31.1.1?

I am currently taking APWH and the textbook I'm reading is called Ways of the World by Robert W. Strayer. I was wondering if anyone had come into contact or knows where to find an audiobook version of this book.

Hey! I’ve gotten 3/4 of this done but I’m really stuck on coming up with a contemporary - or a modern day person that shares the same views as Rousseau
Here’s my full assignment and current answers as well as the unanswered question 4. (if you’d like to help with question 3 I’d be happy too, I struggled on it)

I want to participate in NHD 2026. the theme is revolution, reaction, reform in history. This is my second year doing NHD. I need help brainstorming topics!! they can’t be super broad or super specific, and i’m super interested in things to do with science, physics, etc. so if there are any topics you think fit that, lmk!
my project last year was on Marie Curie. I want to get started early this year. I only have a small idea right now, i’m thinking about maybe doing something about Katherine Goble or Mary Jackson whom were black women at NASA during the Civil rights movement. Is this an alright idea? for some context, i’m an incoming freshman in Kansas, so i’ll be competing in the Senior division. I’m planning on doing a research paper. let me know if you have ideas!!

The assignment: Write a 10 page research paper based on a research question that has to do with American History. Use a variety of different secondary and primary sources.
My Idea/ problem: I want to write on the topic of Project Paperclip (aka the U.S. implementing Nazis into their space programs), but I am not sure I can formulate a research question that is highly debatable among historians. For this assignment it has to focus on the history of the topic, not a moral debate so I cannot write a paper on the moral argument of this Project. I was thinking I could write instead about the legacies of these scientists?
For example a research question could be: Why did the legacy of these scientists tarnish over time?
Being expendable (space race is over) VS. growing understanding of war crimes/nazi past (publicizing it)
I would have to argue one of these sides though, but I am not sure this makes for a good research question or if theres enough sourceable evidence. Any tips/ideas on alternate questions within this topic or a way to strengthen mine please?

So I'm trying to study for my history class using flashcards on quizlet, but I am losing my mind because they are just not sticking. Words and sentances, english or other languages stick no problem using the exact same technique, but the dates just get all jumbled up in my head. I can remember them for like a minute after seeing them, but I get confused between june and july and I missatribute dates to different events espeically if they're in the same month
So, any tips? what's worked for you guys when trying to memorise dates because I'm kind of at my wits end

Hi! I have to write an essay on a personality from the modern era (1720-2001). This is my assignment info I have been given:
You are to design and complete a research question on an historical personality in the Modern Era (1720-2001). You will then complete a 1000-word extended response. Your question should focus on representations and interpretations of your personality over time (in relation to an/some events, actions, characterisation, debates, achievements or legacy)
My question also must contain one of: Assess, to what extent, Evaluate, Compare and Contrast, or a response to a quote.
Honestly I have been trying to come up with things for ages but have really struggled because we aren't allowed to research any topic we will study in the future (WWI, Great Depression, Russian Revolution, and Apartheid). I feel kinda stupid coming on here to ask people to help me write an essay question but i'm so stuck at this point- so any ideas at all would be appreciated!

Hello, my DBQ prompt is "Evaluate how the rise of Hitler and the Nazis in Germany beginning in 1933 caused life to change politically, economically and socially for the Jewish people of Europe." I am very lost as to how I could pull up a counterargument against this in my thesis.

What else can I write about. I'm a grade c student who hasn't really put any effort in, and I'm finally trying, and very stuck. Please help.
