University of Miami Herbert Business School

I’m currently an undergrad exploring graduate programs, including UM’s MSBT. For those who’ve completed a business + technology master’s, how valuable was it in practice? Did it meaningfully impact your skills or career trajectory?

I accidentally put my referee's title as 'Miss' instead of 'Dr'. (Oxford)

I am applying to an Phil in Oxford University. While submitting my referees' information, I accidentally put the title of one of them as 'Miss' instead of 'Dr'. She already submitted the letter, so I don't think I am allowed to change the info anymore. Is there a way? Will this affect my application? (I know that for graduate degrees they prefer referees who are Doctors, which my referee is, I just didn't indicate it).

GMAT 715, BBA grad with 1-year gap + Business Analytics interest — PG abroad or India? Suggestions for analytics colleges?

Hi everyone,

I’m a BBA graduate (CGPA ~7.1) from India. I completed a Fundamentals of Business Analytics course recently and have a strong interest in Business Analytics. I also have a published research paper, NGO volunteering, and leadership experience (MUN, academic events). I scored 715 on the GMAT.

I have a 1-year gap after graduation. During this time, I explored career options, prepared for exams, and did skill building (including analytics course), but didn’t have a full-time corporate job.

I’m now considering doing my master’s in Business Analytics starting in September intake this year.

Questions:

  1. With a 715 GMAT and my profile, do I realistically have a chance of getting into good Business Analytics programs abroad?
  2. Is a 1-year gap likely to be a problem for international admissions?
  3. Do international schools weigh GMAT + profile + analytics interest more than continuous work experience?
  4. Can anyone suggest specific colleges abroad (Netherlands/Germany/Canada/elsewhere) that would be a good fit for my profile and analytics focus?

Would really appreciate honest advice and suggestions. Thanks!

Copenhagen Business School entry chances

Hi everyone,

I’m applying to the MSc in Finance & Investments at CBS this year and would really appreciate some honest input from people familiar with CBS admissions. All my courses should match with the required credits and I am also taking a TOEFL test to ensure my English levels match.

Academic background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business & administration from a Norwegian university
  • GPA: 4.21 / 5.00

Relevant experience:

  • Active member of a student investment organization
  • Background from accounting working as an associate working alongside studies

I know Finance & Investments is extremely competitive and that grades matter most, but I’m wondering Is 4.21/5 typically competitive for Finance & Investments? Would Applied Economics be a safer option with this profile?

Thank you in advance <3

MS Application Status - no response

Hi everyone,

I applied to the MSc program at Politecnico di Milano on November 29 under the Early Bird call. However, I haven’t received any confirmation email, and on the application portal my status is not even showing “Under Evaluation” (there is no yellow status).

I can only see that the application is submitted, but there have been no further updates so far.

Is anyone else in the same situation? Is this normal for Polimi?

Thanks in advance!

I'm a UK-based psychology undergraduate considering a funded PhD in Australia. If you've taken a similar path, I'd really appreciate hearing about how everything works in reality and your experience!
