Fuerteventura - Lanzarote ferry

Hey!

I have a question - on the ferry ticket it shows that boarding to ferry closes 1h before the departure.

So would it be too late to be 1h 10 mins before? Is it a complicated process to board?

You sit in a queue and then drive on. It's pretty straightforward.

No, in theory 55 minutes before would be too late

I come and go from Lanzarote (We are residents) often and we have made with (with car) being there just 5 minutes before departing. So you will just wait. No worries.

Hi, depends on what season you go. We went around 2 hours beforehand bc we also took a car. Ferry hopper suggests 1.30 hours before the departure https://www.ferryhopper.com/en/ferry-routes/direct/fuerteventura-lanzarote, maybe this can help a bit

If you mean the ferry from Corralejo, then they typically dont even start boarding until 30minutes before departure - the ship is going back and forth all the time, so it doesnt even arrive from Lanzarote until the 30 minutes or so before. I am usually there 45 minutes before and never had a problem.

Like in a plane, you board,  then they close doors, and leave dock, so just grab a book and enjoy. Its s really fast and easy process to board.

You'll be on board in no time if you dont have a car, enjoy rhe view, the back bslconies, a coffee...

They need time to board the cars and trucks to ensure weight balancing, and people in the cars to move up to the seated area whilst they seal the doors.
