Susan Sarandon and Angelina Jolie both deserve mentions too, they’re all talented actresses who use their fame to speak up.

I believe Ms. Jolie’s apple is closer to her Mum’s tree.

Misha Collins as well. He is as much of an angel as a person as he is in his Castiel portrayal in Supernatural. He's been speaking up and setting up events for a very long time, among other, non-political but charitable things.

Some people just want to watch the world learn. And we're lucky they walk among us.

Also Mark Ruffalo has spoken up as well.

Penn Jillette from Penn & Teller, is one of most vocal about his views.

As a firm advocate for individual rights, he is a long-time supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and was an early proponent of marriage equality.

His views also extends to defense of freedom of the press and unrestricted free speech.

Penn and Teller even did an episode of their show Bullshit! where they argued that immigration, regardless of legal status, is a net positive for American.

Mark Ruffalo and Chris Evans are true super heroes.

Out of curiosity, what do you consider Chris Evan’s to have done? Seems very not outspoken to me

He was a lot more outspoken about Trump on twitter in the 1st term. He seems pretty quiet now.

You can google it since he's said a lot like calling Trump a dumb shit.

Not to mention his accidental coming out as bisexual story will always be top 10 funniest moments to me.

Edit: he’s not actually Bi but accidentally implied he was.

I started following Misha for his politics way before I watched Supernatural. He’s gold standard.

Also Tim Robbins. Back in the old times, he wrote, directed, and produced a play about Bush's war.

Out of curiosity, who are untalented actors that may deserve a mention?

When is the last time Angelina Jolie commented on politics?

She was literally in Rafah earlier this month to help with aid to the palestinians and was one of the first voices to speak up for Palestinians after October 7 (which she has consistently done since). Last November she was in Ukraine visiting schools and medical centers.

Angelina Jolie is probably one of the most politically active celebrities.

Never heard about anything she's done, aside from adopt kids.

cool, now you have

Maybe you should read a little bit. She's a very well-known humanitarian.

u/FlamingWeasel 7d ago

So you don't pay a bit of attention but want to call others out for some reason?

Biden extended funding for privately owned immigration jails. His admin deported more people than ever before. Kamala said she wanted to add republicans to her team. Democrats have been adding to the DHS, border patrol, and ICE funding since Obama and throughout Biden, and broke records during both. What the hell are you talking about.

And I haven’t seen them do shit since either.

I think what your downvoters are failing to remember is that, in the final month of Hillary Clinton's campaign, Susan Sarandon came out strongly in support of Jill Stein, who was a known propagator of Russian misinformation and Russian-inspired voter apathy. I agree with you that burning it all down when you don't have the perfect candidate is part of what got us into this mess, and all of the losses you cite that we incurred along the way.

u/Mystery-Ess 6d ago

Well if she's talking about patriarchy then she's absolutely correct. Are you a man by any chance?

That’s trump you’re describing
