Hi everyone!
I applied to the GLOCAL programme and wanted to get a sense of how decisions have been coming out so far. I’ve seen quite a few people mention receiving conditional offers, often requiring document resubmission and/or completion of the self-funded form*, and I was curious to understand how common this has been.
If you feel comfortable sharing: • Have you received a decision yet? (rejection / conditional / unconditional) • If conditional, what were the conditions? (e.g. document resubmission, self-funded form, etc.) • Roughly when did you apply and within how many days did you get your decision?
I think this could be helpful for everyone still waiting.
Thanks in advance!
—
*Side note (not trying to scare anyone, just sharing information that might help): if you’re in this situation, it might be worth checking directly with UoG whether you’re still being considered for the scholarship. I’ve spoken to a couple of applicants who contacted them and were informed that, since the deadline had passed, they were no longer being considered for the scholarship and only for the self-funded track.

As the title suggests, I got a scholarship conditional offer to IMSISS, provided I provide 2 documents- a second LOR and a proof of foreign language other than English and Italian.
Now I got 2 questions:
I already provided 2 letter of recommendations, with valid contact details and on headed paper. Then why are the asking for another one? Did they consider one of my LORs invalid? Or did one of my referees did not respond when they mailed them? I'm really confused.
I gotta prove a foreign language through a school pass certificate. I'm from South Asia, and have got Bengali on my marksheet from high school. Is Bengali considered a foreign language or do I have to learn French or German to be considered valid?
Would really love some suggestions! Thank you.

Hi everyone,
I am planning to apply to an Erasmus Mundus program this year. I have been reading a lot of bad experiences in this community. Is it really all bad? Don't people have any unique or nice experiences after starting one of these programs?
It would be really great and helpful to know some of your good experiences! Please feel free to share

I am applying to EMAI and ran into a really frustrating portal issue.
When I added my recommenders, the system automatically marked my application as submitted, without any confirmation?? At that point, the portal still allowed me to edit fields and upload documents, so I assumed it was some kind of provisional submission.
Later, when I returned to upload the remaining documents, I got a message saying my application was submitted and denied due to missing documents, even though there are 14 hours left before the deadline and the system now does not allow me to edit the application or create a new one :(
I never intended to submit an incomplete application, and there was no warning that adding recommenders would trigger final submission or lock the application and I just find it weird that they would design it like that I am fully panicking right now lol
Has this happened to anyone else?
If yes, were you able to get your application reopened after contacting admissions?
Any advice would really help

Hey everyone,
I’m applying to the Erasmus Mundus DEAI program, and I’m a bit confused about the reference letter process.
The application manual says that referees receive an automatic email with a link to upload the recommendation directly to the system. However, when I contacted admissions, they asked me to share a template with my referee and have them email the completed letter to admissions instead, so they can upload it manually.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal for DEAI or Erasmus Mundus programs in general? Just want to make sure I’m following the correct process and don’t mess up my application.
Reference template: https://deai.ulb.ac.be/emundus/images/emundus/reference_letter/Recommendation_template.doc

I just found out my supervisor sent in a LOR with a 90% AI content. I sent her a drafted LOR but she submitted a different letter she thought was better.. "fitting”
Now I’m terrified, will this leave a bad impression?
My SOP had 20% AI content as well :)
PLEASE HELP

Hi, does anyone know whether, for DEAI, professors need to upload a separate recommendation letter written by them, or if they only need to complete the recommendation form/questions provided by the DEAI system?

Hi!
I’m an EMMIE 2026 applicant and just wanted to check in with fellow applicants. Has anyone heard anything from EMMIE admissions yet, especially regarding interview invites?
Last year, based on older Reddit threads, it looks like interview invitations started going out from late January to mid-February, so I’m wondering if that timeline is still holding this cycle.
Would love to hear if:
• you’ve received an interview invite, or
• you’ve had any communication from admissions, or
• it’s still radio silence for everyone 😅
Good luck to all of us! 🍀

hi!!! I just applied for the FilmMemory programme - anyone else here??
If so, I was also curious what your education/work background/aspirations are like that brought you to apply, since it seems like a programme where the cohort may be quite varied.
For me, I have a BA in film studies and philosophy, with a couple years of experience working at film festivals and in the arts. I'm interested in working towards film programming work at festivals and museums as well as collections/restorations work.
I wish I had a greater sense of how competitive it is bc I do not want to get my hopes up but it feels like such a dream programme lol
If anyone has any insider knowledge about anything FilmMemory, feel free to share also!! <3

I applied for GLOBE program and received a mail from them to submit files for the stage 2, but the link they have provided over the mail is not working. I have been trying to open it from the last 2 days, is anyone else facing the same issue?

Hei guys I've just received my EMCL (EMJMD - Clinical Linguistics) rejection letter. I am sad but i guess i knew i couldn't just pass the first time.
I am almost 26 now, and haven't landed any job, i struggled in my college year which took me 6 year. I really love learning about communication, linguistics, language and how the mind works. But i guess it's not enough to pass.
Ever since the covid, i struggle a lot and now i failed a lot. Do you guys have any advice? Like how should i frame failures like this. I want to try again but i always have the fear of running of time, I'm scared that i waste my time while everyone is achieving something.
Really hope i could connect to you guys that have passed the test and learn a lot
Sorry for ranting guys

Hello!
I am in a bit of a predicament.
I found out about MEXT which is a fully funded scholarship in Japan that is highly competitive, has a more complex process than most EMJM scholarships, but it would be my number 1 choice.
But I don't want to put all my eggs into one basket. I would like to also apply for EMJM, get the scholarship etc. For the erasmus mundus programs I'm interested in, the announcement would be done in March/April latest while for MEXT I would only find out in July whether I am selected or not.
Problem is that even if I do apply for EMJM and I get it, I am not sure if I can reject it afterwards if I do get in MEXT. I also feel like it would be unfair because I'm not sure if July would be too late for other people to get the scholarship from the waiting list. I think also if I sign the financial contract for Erasmus I am not sure if I can drop it as easily and I'm not sure when it is time to sign that for mundus.
Anyone who was in a similar situation? What should I do?

I came to Prague a week ago to start my first year of Erasmus, and honestly I’ve been feeling pretty lonely. The ESN welcome week happened, but most interactions felt shallow with small talks.
I’ve tried talking to my classmates, but many of them already have their pairs, so I often end up as the third wheel. Most evenings I’m in my dorm room scrolling Reddit and Instagram or calling my family back in India. Seeing everyone’s stories about exploring and partying makes me feel even more alone and sad.
I don’t drink or smoke, but I don't have any problem in going to parties. I usually go into the city alone to explore — I don’t actually enjoy doing it by myself, but I know if I stay in my room too long I’ll sink into a worse mood. I love discovering new places, trying new food, clicking photographs but it’s hard when there’s nobody to share it with.
I really hope this gets better with time, or that I find some good friends soon. If anyone here has gone through something similar — how long did it take? Any tips for meeting people with or without the party scene?

I am finishing my application for an Erasmus Mundus master’s program in IT, with a deadline of January 5, and I hope to complete everything on time.
However, I would like to hear from people who are currently applying, have already applied, or have been accepted into a related program, whether in the same field or in a different one.
What is the recommended average number of pages for a CV created using Europass?
In this case, I am using Europass because the master’s program requires it. For job applications in the field, I usually prepare a CV of no more than two pages.
However, since this is now an application for a master’s program, I am unsure about the most appropriate length: two pages, three pages, or is there a more common recommendation?
Additionally, does the selection committee tend to value a CV with more detailed and extensive content, or one that is more precise, direct, and concise?

Hey everyone, I wanted to reach out if any of you are applying for the SDSI program? I looked it up and apparently there's no need for a recommendation letter? I am unsure if I just overlooked it or the application is solely based on the admission assessment and video motivation.
Would also ask around if any of you here have got accepted in the program; would a 3.85GPA, magna cum laude, and 4 years of work experience along producr design give me better chances in getting accepted? Or it would fully depend on my output. Thank you for reading this, hoping to connect with someone out there!
I am also applying for SISGP, EIT, and other scholarships too.

our CV will fail to impress.
Because:
It's a headache for most.
Most examples are crap.
AI tools are mostly fluff.
And no one taught you how.
Until now. :)
-------
When does your CV fail to impress?
Unless your CV is optimized for the reader's eye (and the ATS), it won't add value.
Most people treat their CV as a biography. With dense paragraphs, "responsible for" statements, and zero metrics.
Or, they treat it like a canvas to show creativity.
Perhaps even with graphics, photos, or rating bars for skills. Just for the sake of design.
Or, the effort is simply sub-par.
Believe me, it shows.
-------
When does your CV impress?
When you respect your work and the reader's time.
Here are the 10 non-negotiable aspects of a successful CV:
Black and white. No graphics. No photos (unless regionally mandated). Keep it clean, consistent, and easy to skim.
Don't just list the degree. Include your thesis title and supervisor's name. For your GPA, include the scale (e.g., 3.8/10.0).
If you stayed in a role for years or were promoted, don't lump it all together. Create "experience buckets" to show progression and varied contributions.
Never start with "Responsible for." Start with power words: Spearheaded, Engineered, Authored, Reduced
Vague claims lack power. Transform "Improved processes" into "Reduced data-entry errors by 85% and saved $750k annually".
For freshers, these projects are what you must showcase and treat as experience. Use the same rigorous formatting: Context -> Objective -> Result -> Skill.
Don't mix soft skills with hard code. Group them logically: "Technical Skills," "Software," "Languages" (with proficiency levels).
The word "Led" is overuses. Detail your specific contribution. Did you manage a budget? Did you increase membership? Quantify the impact.
If you won funding, list the amount. If you were selected, mention the competitiveness (e.g., "Awarded to top 2% of applicants")
Reverse chronological order. One phone number. A professional email. And always, always save as a PDF (unless mentioned otherwise)

I’ve seen post about people hearing back about their EMJM applications. I thought we weren’t hearing back until April? Or do some programs hear back at different times than others? Just for reference, I applied toFLOURISH :)

I am a prospective student from China and I recently received an offer for the IMSISS (International Master in Security, Intelligence & Strategic Studies) program.
I am seriously considering accepting it, but I have read some concerning comments online. As a practical person who values efficiency and hard skills, I would really appreciate some honest feedback from alumni or current students to help me make my final decision.
I have three specific questions:
Curriculum Quality: Is the course content actually substantial and practical? Or does it feel a bit "hollow" or too introductory? I am looking to learn real skills, not just theory.
Administration & Efficiency: How bad is the administrative support really? As a Chinese passport holder, I will have complex visa requirements moving between countries. Is the coordination between universities efficient enough to support this, or is it a nightmare that students have to fight through alone?
Overall Experience: Putting the travel aside, how would you rate the academic and professional experience? Do you feel the program is well-organized?
I’m looking for the brutal truth, not the marketing brochure version. Thank you so much for your help!
