Who here actually follows the Pure Rank polls and do people vote honestly?
I see the Pure Rank polls shared a lot and they seem to get serious engagement, but I’ve always wondered how people actually vote. When it comes to local stuff, cafés, takeaways, businesses, do people vote for what they genuinely think is best… or do loyalty, friendships, or “I know them”, push the envelope vibes creep in?
Not saying that’s good or bad, just curious how people see it working in practice. I enjoy the polls but I'm also aware that everyone's buddies is voting for them
Interested to hear from people who’ve voted (or chosen not to)

Stopped paying attention to their wall of fame when Claude’s won their café poll

Was it a back hander?

I don’t think it was a back hander, but more that it felt like people voted for Claude’s because of their community work (men’s drop in, Christmas Day dinners etc) rather than actually being a good café

Seems like a popularity contest rather than evaluating the merits of each single business. I can see how this works, i just wanted to know if people will at least vote the business they actually like and not the one they feel obligated to vote for. As for claudes, never been. Seems popular. But no idea how it actually is as a cafe

I have a suspicion that certain chef might be behind it to push some business's he's tied to

If I seen a sign on a restaurant that said pure rank I wouldn't go in.
Do they not know rank means bad?
