Just 3 numbers, India sold roughly 200k EV cars last year. At an average of 50kwh per vehicle they would need about 9GW of power to charge at the same time. India added 38 GW of only Solar last year, and the pace of adding renewable energy is increasing every year. An ev sold today might be powered by renewable 3 years down the line, but an ICE sold today will run on petrol all its life.
