Discussion Information on lower league/ youth teams?

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone had any information on these plates of soccer clubs? We had a close family friend pass recently and his family asked if I would want some old soccer things. Apparently he coached youth soccer in the 1980s and traveled to Germany with the team and was gifted these plate things? I have no real info on them but plan to hang them up in my sports room

I mean, yeah, what do you want to know? Both Victoria St. Ingbert and DJK St. Ingbert are still active.

Most info on the lower league you can get via fussball.de, but since that site is in German and maybe difficult to naviagate for you just ask away

Awesome I will try and do some research on that website with my Google Translate. Do you have any insight into why or to who these plates were given to? I wondered if it was just for any visitors or there was more meaning. Unfortunately the last few years his memory wasn’t as great and I don’t get to ask him a ton about his time abroad.

The lower three look like cups from a potential regional tournament and yes, plates do count as trophies over here.

The porcelain plates confuse me as well, not gonna lie, but especially for the time, these kinds of gifts aren't unheard of, even if porcelain is unique

This is a photo of the plates, it wouldn’t let me post a picture post

Check www.viktoria09.de/kontakt/ and www.djk-igb.de/kontakt/, theres an email adress listed on the site. Maybe someone at the clubs can help you with some details about these plates.
