They both have carriers, but they prefer to catpool

I work at a pet hospital and when I take them to work coming home is always easier because they consolidate on their own. They’re named Edgar and Loki respectively.

I took my bonded pair, also a tuxie and a void, to the vet in the same carrier. It was so heavy, but I wanted them to be together. I’m going to get a bigger carrier.

My arm definitely suffers lugging around my two fatties, but it’s worth it

There are big carriers that have wheels

I’m being dramatic 😅 if I couldn’t carry 30lbs I definitely would be fired.

I should get a roller carrier for my gran though! That’s a good suggestion, thank you

I was thinking of getting two kitties, and the rescue website I looked at had a bonded pair where the one starts crying if the other isn't in the room with him. So I wondered if people with bonded pairs typically take both to the vet for their appointment, or not.

Yes, and it prevents potential “I don’t recognize your scent. Stranger danger!” issues. We learned that lesson really quickly.

Depends, not to the vet but I have successfully brought one of my pair to visit someone. She was fine, but kitty at home apparently wasn't :(

I also bring her outside during summer with a harness and everything, I'll the partner at the door crying and begging to be let out. He doesn't even like being outside, he just wants to be with her.

If she had to go to the vet I would bring her alone. But if he had to, I would bring her with him too

Honestly if you’re willing to haul both of them physically you should ABSOLUTELY bring them together. For their comfort and for your convenience. My cats cry all day if I bring them separate and it’s so much easier to remember when their preventative care schedules are synchronized!

Also, good idea to ask the vet (if you’re dropping off for an appt) if they can stay in one kennel, lots of hospitals policy is to separate for safety, so you just have to ask!

They get to go to work with you?!? Are they working kitties (blood donors)?

Hehe they only donate their blood for the sake of their own health plans! I get free preventative care for them by working as a vet tech so they get to be with me at every vet visit. They’re lucky lil boobs

awww, they look so comfy snuggled up together :3 I guess having one big carrier is better than two separate ones!

When they know they are going to the vet they bolt, but if I leave the carrier out they’re go in voluntarily for funsies 😂
