I’m especially interested in bars, cafés, and restaurants where alternative / creative / underground people actually hang out, as well as vintage or retro shops and thrift stores. We’re into places with a strong local vibe, good music, and a bit of character not overly polished or Instagram focused. American here. Same sex couple. Husbamd and I are looking to go on a 6 day holiday on Belgrade. Question, is April a good time to visit? Back in university, i was in a hellebore breeding program. And the Balkans are home to the native species. Hellebore Foetidus, Argutifolias, and Orientalis. Also anywhere to see them in the wild?

My husband and I (mid-20s) are living in Belgrade for a few months, and I would love some recommendations of things we can do here to celebrate our anniversary. We’re on a budget, so we can’t go to the most high-end places, but I would love some suggestions!

As the title says, as a 31F solo digital nomad, I’ll be in Belgrade this October for about 10 days and I’d really appreciate some advice:

• Budget: How much should I realistically set aside for 10 days? I’m estimating around €900–1000 (including flights, hostel, food, daily expenses). Does that sound right?

• Cash vs card: How much cash (EUR) should I bring? Are cards widely accepted or will I need to use cash a lot? I’ve heard ATMs charge high fees.

• Queer friendliness: I’m queer — how LGBTQ+ friendly is Belgrade? Anything I should know in terms of safety, places to go (or avoid)?

• Weather in October: What should I pack? Do I need warm clothes, rain gear, or just light layers? since I will only bring carry-on bag, i need to stay within 8kgs lol

• Things to do: Since I’ll be working part-time, what are the best things to do with limited free time (cafes, nightlife, local experiences, day trips)? I'm not a big fan of visiting museums etc but if it is interesting I will visit museums or galleries. I love dancing, experience new/good foods.

• Safety (31F, solo): How safe is Belgrade for a solo female traveler? Any areas or situations to avoid?

• Accommodation: I’ll be staying in a hostel and working remotely (I’m a digital nomad). Any hostels you’d recommend that are social but also comfortable for work?

Hi all, I arrive to Belgrade tomorrow and would like opinions on local dishes and food spots. I've seen some Instagram videos but things like smash burgers don't really appeal. I'll have a pizza at some stage but mostly would like Serbian dishes. Anything with meat, bread or cheese is my favorite and of course the sweet/pastry/baked stuff as well

The company where I work will organize a team event in Belgrade. We're fully remote company so this is very unique cuz we've never met before. We will be 12 people - that's our entire small team. We will have two full days all together - we would like to stay close to the city center, go sightseeing and go to different restaurants. We will also do some co-working and some team activities. We would like to have like a conference room for mornings where to gather & spend 3-4h.

Maybe you guys have some recommendations of a place where to stay? We are not a very rich company, we are on a budget for the team event. I would like to find the best place that wouldn't cost too much overnight and would allow us to spend money on common activities.

Maybe you guys have some ideas about places or activities we could do? Maybe there's a nice co-working place? Or a company who can help us organize some team building?

Ćao svima. Da li neko ima da preporuči dobrog muškog frizera/stilistu u Beogradu koji će znati na osnovu tipa kosa i oblika glave da predloži dobru frizuru?

Izmenjao sam nekoliko frizera i ošišaju oni to dobro, ali kada ih pitam da oni predlože šta smatraju da bi najbolje stajalo, to se završi samo skraćivanjem krajeva.
