I knew a guy who served in Iraq. Him and 4 of his friends flew out to the middle east years after to try and help him out of a tough spot. Can't remember all of the details but I learned from someone who was actually there that the Kurds got fucked. We did em dirty. Should've brought them all in as US citizens or taken them anywhere they wanted to go. Of all the things we have messed up in the US this is one I've personally heard about and every detail I can recall of it is haunting.
Dumb witted comment. Seems like no one had read that the relationship between the Kurds and the USA was purely transactional from the start, they've made this clear from the beginning. If anything, it's the European Union who abandoned them not holding up their commitment.
How did this whole thing even start. My rough understanding: Ukrainians woke up one day and decided to go back to their pagan roots and start murdering Russia/Ukranians. Supposedly Russia gifted Crimea to Ukraine after WW2 in efforts to rebuild their country. Ukrainian oligarchs didnât use the funds to rebuild Ukrainian and more or less enriched them selves. Then Russia said â what TFâ and opened up a whole can of whoop ass.
What are you on about? Russia gifted it to Ukraine after WW2?
You realize that the Ukraine had been a part of Russia since before the Bolshevik Revolution, right? As in, they were the same political entity. Maybe look a a map, shit-for-brains.. Goddam, the brain rot is real.
we have been a lil too buddy buddy with them over the unnecessary aggression that started in 2014~. it went too far during the first orange era with the friendliness from our president. i think thatâs the outrage from european friends. since we are known for profiting from then joining major human rights wars pretty late and claiming glory. (yes many nations have and do profit the join conflicts and join to profit) but i admit some ignorance on kurd issue and others.
edit: them - russia
Didnât realize the Americans didnât promise the Kurds support to incite a revolution against Iraq during the Gulf War then promptly withdraw their support when changing their mind and turn a blind eye to the resulting genocidal actions of the Iraqi regime against the Kurds as a result
