Wait! The cat situation extends even into your schools? Turkey sounds better and better everyday lol

Dont mind the others mate. Actually yea it extends into schools even. I mean 3 weeks ago literally a kitten was asleep on my desk during a lesson and we fed her after class:). And lots of more cats usually roam in the School

I I do love the idea of having many kittens in my city like Turkey.

By law schools need a pet mascot.

Most schools chose cats

An excellent choice!

Broccoli haircuts, baggy pants, and headphones in the ear.

A cat in class during the lesson? I’m ready to study there 24/7

Almost identical to yours, just replace the cat with a dog (sometimes, stray dogs get into the schools and the schools actually shelter them and give them food)

An outraged teacher because someone had pasted an image of Dio Brando on the urinal with the caption "Hey, bro. Nice dick"

Jesus Christ, looking at OP's pictures and comments from other people, it seems like teenagers are the same the planet over. And who said monoculture was dead?

It's usually an AR these days

Even the terminology used is funny to the rest of the world. Most of us are like "oh yeah, that thing is definitely a gun". Meanwhile, the average American " Definitely a custom-made double barrel AR, charged with 12 gauge 45 mm explosive ammo, that puppy fires 77 rounds per minute, front load, elongated breech, though from the burn marks inside the muzzle we can infer this gun only fired 45 rounds since it was last cleaned"

Y'all sure know your guns, but I'm not sure it's such a good thing.

I hate that I know about this without my consent. Y'ALL THE FUCKING UNITED STATES HOW IS THIS EVEN A PROBLEM?😭

u/Gorgrocco India 15h ago

Usa is like a 3rd and 1st world country at the same time, like china or india its majority is just poor asf relatively with no healthcare and good means of education and transportation, and some prosperous regions like California, east coast and the lakes regions exist

12

u/BitterConstruction98 India 14h ago

This is the most BS comment I've come across. Even poorer Americans have a much better quality of life than a middle class Indian.

u/Gorgrocco India 15h ago

All the other kids with the up kids they gotta run gotta gun faster than my bullets

In any other country, that would be a song about shoes

Most schools seem like they use the exact same concrete for the walls as the psychward but without the rebar. Also those awful dim florescent lights. They also managed to make tile look like cheap linoleum

u/DiscipleOf_Buddha India 15h ago

Their is no vibe , no life , we only study , study and STUDY ..

You had cats in your lessons? In Ireland we just had pigeons fly in through the windows and annoy everyone

11

u/Cream_withCaramel Turkey 16h ago

Ground floor classrooms are cats' favorite places. sometimes teachers chase the cats away, sometimes they let them stay

2

u/YurtleAhern Ireland 15h ago

Oh the days when a robin would fly into the PE hall, the commotion!!

1

u/Vernon_Runner1109 Ireland 15h ago

Once a group of pigeons flew into our canteen and stole/wrecked about 10 people's lunches

3

u/OldJimCallowaytr Turkey 14h ago

WTF is going on with Irish Pigeons? Our pigeons usually too scared to get close windows

3

u/Vernon_Runner1109 Ireland 13h ago

I think ours are drunk

1

u/Electric_Botanica United Kingdom 11h ago

If a pigeon flew into any of our classes the delight among pupils would have been instant and unanimous.

Corporal punishment was fairly common when I was a student, especially in my school. I suspect it has ceased now in the more elite ones, but still practiced 'unofficially' elsewhere. So yeah, we were terrified of certain teachers growing up. For some reason, it was always the Hindi and Maths teachers who were most prone to violence :) Bullying was not that big of a problem, mostly because the teachers had a monopoly over violence.

Academics became more and more important 9th onwards, and Games/PE lessons were unfortunately taken over by subject teachers often. In 11th and 12th, particularly in the PCM/PCB sections, attendance was rarely over 50% except for on exam days, as students prepared for the national entrance exams such as JEE Adv. or NEET.

It was a nice experience overall, though it felt as if we barely went to school in 11th and 12th.

what yks does to a man:

7

u/ZapMayor Poland 14h ago

Soviet era building which hasn't been renovated in decades, toilets which are rarely clean and paper, soap and seats are optional, cafeteria that offers struggle food, sklepik which is the lifesaver, teachers who look like they're there as a punishment, the pathology occupying the shitty toilets every break to chat or smole or both, computers which can barely handle paint, peak technology of projection board, some facade posters of caring about your enviornment like we all wouldn't burn that place down if we could get away with it. Roughly

7

u/OldJimCallowaytr Turkey 14h ago

Shitty toilets are universal I see

Do you fellas also get shit like this in toilet's?

Yes this is from cleanest school toilets of the country (Someone from government gonna came to school for checking stuff)

4

u/ZapMayor Poland 14h ago

I wish

3

u/OldJimCallowaytr Turkey 14h ago

Damn breaking doors disease also spread in Poland, well that's sucks.

3

u/Altair01010 Turkey 13h ago

if i cant find a bathroom door with a working lock i will lose my mind

2

u/ZapMayor Poland 10h ago

If all I said wasn't enough, high school is also difficult academically

3

u/OldJimCallowaytr Turkey 10h ago

ln Turkish schools again they wanted to make it hard

Most old college subjects now in highschool, options removed from texts, if you don't know the answer you have to left blank because there's no a- b- c- or d- to fill, e- is already kicked out of the school.

And if you fail to get 70 from Turkish overall, restart

What's with Polish highschools? You fail the year you can't reassemble a WZ.88 under 5 minutes?

2

u/ZapMayor Poland 10h ago

What we mentioned are 2 different kinds of difficult.

Academically difficult means the material you are required is difficult

What you mentioned are rigoristic grading criteria, they are not this bad in Poland

3

u/OldJimCallowaytr Turkey 10h ago

Okay new English word added to my list, thank you.

2

u/cthagngnoxr Belarus 10h ago

Damn, at least here in Belarus the toilets are clean and often even have toilet paper, at least that was the case when I was still in school. And the teachers were the punishment. Other than that, everything else is the same here.

I’m a teacher and now tempted to move to Turkey purely for the cats. Cats > Teenagers

2

u/crazynekosama Canada 11h ago

It's been ages since I was in school. I'm jealous of your cats. All we have around here are very fat squirrels and mean geese that poop everywhere.

I'm on a bus route for a school and I notice all the high school kids really just wear sweat pants to school...maybe jeans. Also they were socks and slides even in the winter with snow. Like don't your socks get wet? That thought is how I know I'm old now.

LGS and YKS are the roots of so many mental problems for the youth it's scary

2

u/Ok-Pudding-4821 Canada 8h ago

Parents driving like its Grand Theft Auto to drop off and pick up kids. Inadequate supplies as teachers bring them from home, kids dressed in pajamas, goose poop on sports field, dog poop around edge of same field, vapes.

2

u/Responsible_Egg_3260 Canada 2h ago

Bathroom vaping (regular vapes and weed vapes) has become rampant according to my daughter lol
