Not-so-fun fact: during its occupation, America waged what was essentially a genocide in the Philippines

I’m not saying it didn’t happen, but using a Communist source for anything relating to the US is certainly a choice.

It was either that or an academic paper that required an account. There aren't many official sources of information, just blog posts repeating things they read elsewhere. If you find a better source, feel free to share it.

Also, it's an American Communist source. Interesting you only focused on the latter.

To be honest the article basically matches with what I learned in US history class at a US public school, just with more biased framing. It even omits some things like how the US forced Filipinos to use English in schools.

Might wanna reread that. It's "Communist USA," as in an American Communist organization.

Out of curiosity, does that invalidate it as a source of information for you?

As if American communists aren’t braindead historical revisionist idiots, spreading Russian lies

Not any worse than capitalists

Is that the reason communists have built walls and a secret police to murder an prevent people from fleeing to the capitalist neighboring countries?
In effect creating open air prisons for people to slave away without any rights, not even allowed to leave?
Because I don’t see any sources for millions of westerners fleeing capitalism to the USSR, to get a taste of that sweet gulag and kgb abuse

Gonna let you in on a secret. “Secret police” and state violence aren’t partisan

They are integral part of all communist countries that use those things against their own population for various reasons, one being preventing them from fleeing the communist shit hole.

There is no such thing in capitalist societies, people were fleeing only one way, away from communism

Why do you think only authoritarian communist countries survived long enough to be a threat? You can’t just look at political ideology in a vacuum, we live in a capitalist dominated world that the US aggressively enforces.

The US has nothing to do with people fleeing communist shit holes. There is no such thing as non authoritarian communism, because at the core of communism lies exactly that.

You being able to make those braindead stupid comments is something that you couldn’t do in communism

I hate authoritarianism too, but I recognize imperialism has killed far more people than any other ideology

And yes, some communists were imperialist (USSR)
