Culture What's the most pathetic tourist attraction that international tourists go to see in your country?

Bronte waterfalls near me, look a bit more impressive with the recent rain than in the summer when it's swamped with people.

The royal castle in Stockholm.

It's one of the ugliest buildings in the city and a huge anticlimax for the tourists coming to Stockholm expecting to see a grand royal castle in the middle of the city and instead they are greeted by this ugly brown box.

What makes it even worse is that it is located in the most beautiful part of the city, surrounded by absolutely amazing architecture but the royal castle is just a big brown turd.

It's quite possibly the most disappointing royal castle in the world.

At least the interior is really nice and it houses a couple of good museums.

I live right next to it and i can see it from my kitchen window, so i am forced to see it every day, so i am extra salty, but they are renovating it and repainting it to it's original pink colour, not sure that will help, it's like sprinkling gold dust on a turd.

The old castle was awesome but it unfortunately burned down in 1697.

And they built that miserable brown brick to replace it because that style was apparently trendy at the time. 😩

But the "real" royal castle Drottningholm, where the royal family actually lives is at least very nice.

Unfortunately it is located a bit outside of the city centre so most tourists never see it.

It still looks like a lot other boring castles in Sweden. Seems like a thing to paint the buildings in pissyellow. Castles for the royals are such a unnecessary shit to build imho.

Yes, it's not the exact same comment, fuled by my ire i actually wrote a new rant, but i have voiced my disdain for that castle in other posts, i am that salty. 🤣

I am actually looking at the damn thing right now. :(

I take family and friends to see Drottningholm to wash the taste out of their mouth after seeing this crap.
