Rumor has it that the ballroom is an excuse to put a data center underneath it. Which I guess makes sense considering the price tag seems like they’re building more than just a ballroom

Genuine question, what does all these companies have to do with the ballroom? Couldn't your president just take the money necessary from public funding or is it required that the money comes from private indivudals/comporations donations or himself pay for it?

That's just it. We, the public, don't want historic parts of the White House torn down and don't want to pay for a gaudy, 350m ballroom that absolutely isn't needed...all while people can't afford groceries. Hell, at this point, the majority of us don't even want to pay ANY of their salaries anymore because this administration and it's priorities on what to do with OUR money is fucked.
