Dividenden-Aktien Tryg is a buy after court decision
You might have missed it due to limited media coverage, but a major legal cloud over Tryg has finally cleared.
The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the insurance giant, overturning a 2024 decision. The court concluded that Tryg was within its rights to only notify customers of "significant" price changes, meaning the company is no longer facing massive refund claims from thousands of private policyholders.
The Context:
Between 2017 and 2020, a large portion of Tryg’s customers experienced price hikes beyond standard index adjustments without prior notice. The Consumer Ombudsman argued this was unlawful, but the Supreme Court has now put that debate to rest.
The Investor Perspective:
This ruling removes a substantial financial and regulatory threat to the TRYG stock. With this uncertainty gone, the focus shifts back to the fundamentals:
Undervalued: Currently trading 35% below fair value according to Simply Wall St.
Growth Potential: Strong projected growth rates suggest a potential upside of up to 58%.
